Air Conditioner Cleaning in Bali
Bali's humidity, dust and salt air clog an AC faster than almost anywhere. A dirty unit blows weak, smells, drips water and quietly raises your electricity bill.
We clean both halves — the indoor unit and the outdoor condenser — every 3 to 6 months, sooner near the beach.
What the job actually involves
A standard clean is both halves of the system and takes 30 to 45 minutes a unit. Indoors the cover and filters come off, the drain pan is emptied and flushed, and the evaporator coil and fan barrel are chemically cleaned with the unit bagged so nothing runs down your wall. Outdoors the condenser is washed through so it can shed heat again. A deep clean at Rp250,000 goes further: the indoor unit comes off the wall entirely, which is the only way to reach the back of the barrel and the underside of the pan once mould is established there.
When the work is worth doing
Most units in Bali need this every three to six months, but the honest answer depends on where you are — three near the beach or a building site, five or six on a quiet inland street. We would rather tell you to come back in five months than sell you a clean you do not need yet. If a unit still cools badly after a proper clean the problem was never dirt, and we will say so and quote the diagnosis at Rp65,000 rather than book another clean. Cleaning carries 14 days: if the smell or the weak airflow returns in that window we re-clean it free.
