Gree is one of the largest air conditioner manufacturers in the world and sells heavily into Indonesia at the value end, which is why it turns up in kost buildings, guesthouses and rental rooms far more than in owner-occupied villas. That usage pattern matters more than the badge: these units are small, run long hours in enclosed rooms, and are rarely cleaned between tenants. Parts and repair
Value-end units are cheap to maintain and cheap to repair, and the parts are ordinary — capacitors and fan motors fitted on the visit. The judgement call is when to stop repairing: on a unit that has run hard for years in a rental room we will tell you plainly if a repair is not going to last, rather than quoting it anyway.
