What is different about servicing Panasonic
Panasonic has been sold in Indonesia long enough that the installed base in Bali spans a wide age range, and that is the practical difference on a Panasonic job: the unit in front of us might be a current R32 inverter or a standard R410A split that has been on the wall for a decade. We check which before doing anything, because the older machines are mechanically simpler and often worth repairing when a newer unit with the same symptom would not be.
Parts and repair
On the older standard units the failures are mechanical and the parts are common — capacitors from Rp190,000, fan motors from Rp380,000, both usually fitted on the visit. On current inverter models a board fault is quoted before we order. Either way you get the diagnosis first at Rp65,000 and the price before we start, and the repair carries 30 days on labour and 3 months on the parts we replace.
